October 7, 2021

Watch the inspiring legislative press conference held On October 7, 2021, in Austin, TX at the State Capitol with representatives from Guardians of Medical Choice, eight brave Texas Legislators including Steve Toth, Briscoe Cain, Mayes Middleton and Senator Bob Hall who have authored or cosponsored bills along with NVIC Director of Advocacy Dawn Richardson and Dr. Clayton Young calling for the Governor, Speaker and Lieutenant Governor to Act NOW!

These Republican state lawmakers have all filed legislation that would ban employer required vaccinations or allow vaccine exemptions based on moral, religious or “Reasons of Conscience”. The legislators were present and requested Gov. Greg Abbott add this to the special session. A total of nineteen different bills have been filed by GOP lawmakers as of this date in an attempt to protect Texans from the vaccination mandates.

The TX GOP “Lions” added yet another submission to their efforts in the form of an open letter to the Governor “requesting his support for medical freedom and personal responsibility in response to the COVID-19”. The letter begs him to add a ‘comprehensive ban on vaccine mandates’, expand his current executive order so all individuals are protected from vaccine mandates and passports not just consumers!

Unfortunately, Gov. Abbott and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick value business and consumers as their legislative priorities while overlooking many of their less powerful and now unemployed constituents. There is no truth, freedom from medical tyranny, autonomy and bodily choice in the Texas GOP leadership, Governor’s office or Lt Governor’s office…or so it seems.

Instead there is truth in Senator Hall’s statement, “There are people who have convinced themselves that we don’t regulate business, most campaign donations come from the business community.”

After the Biden administration announced vaccines would be mandated for workers in businesses of 100 or more people, it appears  Texans are on their own until the primaries when they can get a candidate for these offices that will pledge to stop the illegal, immoral and unconstitutional assault on our freedoms.
