January 24, 2021

It has been over two years since the Covid virus became a threat and the CDC finally admits masking is just not that effective. The CDC on January 14, 2022 finally changed masking recommendations  saying N95 masks provide the most protection against Covid-19. So much so the Brandon administration plans to send 400 million N-95 masks to Americans but…make sure the mask you receive is the most efficient and it must be fitted properly and worn properly, taken off properly and the wearer leaves it on. Fit testing is required with all N95 masks eliciting the CDC instruction and a video and fact sheet stating:

“It is important for respirators to form a seal to the face to work properly. Gaps can let air with respiratory droplets leak in and out around the edges of the mask. Gaps can be caused by choosing the wrong size or type of respirator or when a respirator is worn with facial hair. It is important to determine if your respirator fits properly. NIOSH and OSHA have developed a video and factsheet demonstrating how to determine if the respirator fits properly (user seal check) and how to properly put on and take off a respirator. The information in the video and factsheet about how to use an N95 respirator also applies to international respirators, like KN95 respirators. Most publicly available respirators are disposable and should be discarded when they are dirty, damaged, or difficult to breathe through”.

At today’s Covid Panel discussion with Senator Ron Johnson, a physician brought to the nation’s attention that masks are not effective against the Covid Virus with two exceptions. We want to show you a comparison between the N95 (free mask from the US Government) and the masks that are recognized as effectively protective:

  • Elastometric Respirator with appropriate filter
  • Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPRs)
