The authors of a recent review article published in the Journal of Stroke entitled “Stroke Associated with COVID-19 Vaccines” states “many recent studies reported the occurrence of stroke after administration of COVID-19 vaccination. All forms of stroke, including ischemic, ICH, and CVST, have been encountered. Most of the evidence pertaining to stroke following COVID-19 vaccination are case reports, therefore, the incidence of stroke after COVID-19 vaccination is not precisely known.”
Authors of that study conclude that “the advantages of COVID-19 vaccination outweigh the risk of stroke or any other neurological complication, the public should be reassured that the vaccination program is still the best way to combat COVID-19.”
The authors are wrong, their claims are unrealistic and unscientific and stroke after vaccination is especially risky in women under 60 years of age.
