According to Chief Nerd, a “New Study Examines the Effect of COVID-19 Infection and Vaccination on Cord Blood Stem Cells.

The numbers and frequencies of HSPCs [stem cells] in the UCB [cord blood] decreased significantly in donors with previous SARS-CoV-2 infection and more so with COVID-19 vaccination via the induction of apoptosis.

Striking changes were observed in the CD34+ cell fraction ― the total numbers of CD34+ cells drastically reduced 4-fold in the vaccinated donor group.”

The study summary states, “These results indicate that SARS-CoV-2 infection and COVID-19 vaccination impair the functionalities and survivability of” Stem cells in umbilical cord blood, “which would make unprecedented concerns on the future of” Stem cell-based therapies”.
