According to Reuters reporter on on February 11, 2022,  Pfizer reported they withdrew the Covid Vaccine Emergency Use Authorization in India despite being the first company to make application due to the nation’s drug regulator (Central Drugs Standard Control Organization, CDSCO), demand for a local safety and immunogenicity study”.

This prevents the Pfizer vaccine being used in both India and China where they are using different vaccine products to immunize the two largest populations on the planet.
