An amazing, updated article from the Brownstone Institute on October 17, 2021, provides 106 separate research studies listed by report title, author, year published and the principal/main finding on natural immunity in an easy to follow table. The article was written by Paul Elias Alexander and these co-authors:

    • Dr. Harvey Risch, MD, PhD (Yale School of Public Health)
    • Dr. Howard Tenenbaum, PhD ( Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto)
    • Dr. Ramin Oskoui, MD (Foxhall Cardiology, Washington)
    • Dr. Peter McCullough, MD (Truth for Health Foundation (TFH), Texas
    • Dr. Parvez Dara, MD (consultant, Medical Hematologist and Oncologist)

It provides a comprehensive list of “scientific studies and evidence reports/position statements” on natural immunity allowing the reader to understand and reach their own conclusions on the benefits/differences between vaccine-induced immunity and naturally acquired immunity after Covid infection.

In late October 2020, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky and associates stated in a consensus statement published in the Lancet “any pandemic management strategy relying upon immunity from natural infections for COVID-19 is flawed” and in their own words from the statement perpetuated their own brand of “dangerous fallacy unsupported by scientific evidence” that “there is no evidence for lasting protective immunity to SARS-CoV-2 following natural infection” and that “the consequence of waning immunity would present a risk to vulnerable populations for the indefinite future.”

This is contradictory to the most elementary, basic knowledge of viruses and immunity established over the last 100 years, in that,

1) Viral infection provides natural immunity and

2) Natural immunity to SARS-CoV-2 is durable, including persistent antibodies.

We are in agreement with the Brownstone Institute yet AGAIN and ask, “How is it the CDC recognizes natural immunity for chicken-pox and measles, mumps, and rubella, but not for COVID-19?”

As we told Houston Methodist leadership prior to mass employee terminations in June 2021, employees should not be forced to take an investigational EUA medication when the evidence for the last century has shown that immunity after past viral infection is equal to if not superior to vaccines. Finally, the most basic rights of all human beings is the respect of an individual’s right to bodily integrity and the right to make healthcare decisions and choose for themselves.
